This International Women’s Day we’re thrilled to announce that NexBotix and our sister companies Infinity and Camwood have joined the Women in Technology (WIT) Network.
Our new membership enables the women in our businesses to gain invaluable access to their global ecosystem of events, mentorship and training. As a proud champion of gender equality within our business, we felt this was a natural fit for us, as well as a fantastic opportunity to provide our team with a variety of opportunities to develop both professionally and personally.
Despite having only recently joined the network, our team have already attended many virtual events with female tech leaders across the globe, taken part in the mentor circles and enjoyed some insightful 1-2-1s with the team behind the programme.
What is the WIT Network?
The WIT Network is a global and local Not For Profit organisation providing inspiration, education, mentoring, networking and practical advice to empower women (and men) to build and grow their careers in technology and pursue their ambitions.
They have three clear missions:
- Encourage women and girls to study STEM and pursue careers in tech
- Enable more women to attain leadership positions and career advancement
- Help companies change the landscape of gender equality within their business
What do our team think of the WIT Network?
I’m extremely excited about our WIT corporate membership particularly the opportunity to connect with the global community and develop through leadership training. We were eager to share this with the women in our business who are going to hugely benefit from the mentor network and wide range of resources available, providing them with some external stimulus from industry leaders in the technology sector. I’m very proud to work for companies like NexBotix, Infinity and Camwood, which understands the importance of gender equality and diversity and can’t wait to get started with WIT.
Ann-Marie Rossiter, Head of Marketing
I’ve attended a number of events so far with the WIT Network and think they are brilliant. I love hearing the challenges other women are facing within the technology sector, learning how they’ve overcome them and continued to progress in their career. It’s a very inspirational community and I’m looking forward to getting more involved over the coming year.
Jo Cseko– Resourcing Manager
“The WIT Network has an abundance of really interesting content and events on such a broad range of topics, it’s difficult to choose which ones to attend. I’ve really enjoyed the events I have attended so far and think it’s also brought the women in our team closer together during this period of remote-working. I’m really glad we joined the network and can’t wait to attend more events.”
Gemma Foxall– RPA Consultant
This is the first step in some interesting initiatives we’re going to be launching at NexBotix over the coming year to play our part in encouraging more women into STEM and the technology sector so watch this space.
